Mike Mrosko, Senior Camp Director of Camp Barnabas, attended our latest meeting (3/21/23) at Big Baldy's BBQ. He shared with the group the camp's "origin story" and wonderful service to kids and families with special needs. Mike's inspiring talk pointed out how helping kids can transform not only their lives but our own. The summer camp's national and even international impact is a testament to how being inspired by compassion and service can start small and grow into an amazing positive force in the world. The Monett Kiwanis has been working to help local kids for 99 years and has improved the lives of generations of area kids and club members alike. Mike's talk was very well received and the camp director invited the Monett Kiwanis Club to tour the camp in the summer to see Camp Barnabas in full swing. You can learn more at campbarnabas.org
