In April the Monett Kiwanis Club brought one of the nation's premier Southern Gospel Music Groups to perform at the P.A.C. in Monett. We packed the huge auditorium with a crowd from all over the region to see The Hoppers with only around 20% of the assembly being locals. Donations poured in totaling over $7,000. One of the best parts of night was the when the Monett Kiwanis Club members thanked the folks for coming and the audience all said something like "Oh no thank you for bringing them here for us!" It truly was a win-win.
We are raising money to provide a great new playground for the Monett South Park. A fun up-to-date playground is more important than ever as kids have a lot of inside screen-based options that are perhaps too tempting. If the Monett Kiwanis Club can help inspire kids to get out and climb, slide, crawl, and actively play we consider that a worthy cause.
